Buddy found his Forever Home!

Foster parents Brian and Brenda say goodbye to Buddy!

Buddy didn't have to wait long for his perfect family to come along and he went home with them. No, he didn't ride in the trunk---but he had to checkout that part of the vehicle as well---after all, young boys are VERY curious!!Buddy's foster dad writes:

"All went very well when we made the exchange today. Buddy gave us all a few good laughs.

When we last saw him he was in his glory, sitting in the front seat and staring straight out the front window as Bill drove away.

He is in good hands and I don't think he could have found a better home."

Handsome Buddy!!

Buddy was saved by a compassionate volunteer!

Buddy Holly needed to find a home pronto. A wonderful family jumped in to help and offered to foster Buddy for Illinois Birddog Rescue. Here's what his foster dad reported after Buddy's arrival:

"Bud has arrived at my place and all is well.
He went to the vet this morning and had a good meal. Besides being all skin and bones, having a few minor health issues, he is fine and a really sweet guy.
The first thing we did when we got him here was to have him play with Scout & Ally and get all the dog stuff out of the way. The next thing was a very much needed bath.

He is a really sweet guy with a great temperament. His age is two. He listens, knows his way around the house and I am told he is house broken. All he needs is a little discipline for in the house.
As you can see in the picture below, I am strictly enforcing the rule to "never spoil your bird dog."
He will make someone a nice companion. I am told he is gun shy, but if he is birdie enough, he could overcome that. It looks like he has the physique of a nice bird dog and has no dew claws. He was definitely bred for hunting.
Now all we have to do is find him a home."
